On Tuesday 10th June, women from across Wirral came together at Market Wells for an evening of learning, laughter and looking after their health.
Hosted by Wirral Ways, the Women’s STI Educational Evening was all about creating a safe, welcoming space to talk openly about sexual health — without stigma or judgement. The event was open to all women, whether they were in service or not. And every single person who attended chose to get tested.
💜 No pressure. No lectures. Just good conversations and a chance to take control of your health.
The evening included:
-
STI-themed bingo and a myth-busting quiz
-
Friendly, honest chat with people who really get it
-
On-site STI testing in a private, supportive setting
-
Free food and refreshments from 6PM
“This kind of event makes a real difference,” said one attendee. “It felt relaxed and judgement-free — and I learnt things I wish I’d known years ago.”
For many, it was a chance to ask the questions they’ve never felt comfortable asking before. For others, it was simply about feeling seen, heard, and supported.
Sexual health is part of overall health. And we believe every woman deserves access to clear, honest information and easy ways to get tested — with no shame attached.
Keep an eye on our channels for future events like this. Because when women feel supported, powerful things happen.
