We’re really excited to share that Wirral Ways is launching a brand new weekly women’s netball group at New Ferry Village Hall. We’d love you to be part of it!
These sessions are open to women who use our service, women in recovery, and Wirral Ways staff & volunteers. Whether you already play, haven’t picked up a ball since school, or just fancy trying something new, everyone is welcome. The focus is on enjoying movement, building confidence, and having some fun together in a relaxed and supportive space.
When and where
Mondays
11.30am to 12.30pm
New Ferry Village Hall
We’ve teamed up with England Netball to put on these sessions which means we’re lucky to have an England Netball coach leading the sessions!
Travel and accessibility
Transport is available for those who need it.
If you’re unsure about getting there, just let us know and we’ll help you sort it.
There are accessible toilets at the venue.
Who this is for
This is a space designed for women who want to get active and feel part of something positive. It’s for:
- Women accessing Wirral Ways
- Women in recovery
- Staff and volunteers
- People who want a friendly, stigma-free place to move at their own pace
It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from. What matters is showing up and giving it a go.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing and trainers
- Water
- Short nails are best for safe play
- Yourself, exactly as you are
Why join?
Being active can make a huge difference to your wellbeing. Netball is great for fitness, but just as importantly, it gives you connection, laughter, and a chance to switch off from day-to-day stresses. Many of the women joining this group are motivated to make changes in their lives, and being part of a team can help reinforce that sense of motivation and belonging.
How to get involved
If you’d like to come along, speak to Ruby or your Wirral Ways worker. You can also pop into your local hub for more information.
We’ll have posters up around our buildings, updates on screens, and a few printed copies available for anyone visiting the gym.
Come and give it a try. It’s happening, and we’d love you on the court with us.
