This session is for Wirral Ways staff and partner organisations. We will explore how addiction can affect parenting and family life, with a focus on the lived experience of children and young people growing up in households where substances are part of day-to-day life.
The training looks at the signs of complex neglect, how it can present differently in families affected by addiction, and what we can do to recognise risks early and offer meaningful support. It will help participants build confidence in responding to concerns, working in a trauma-informed way and tailoring support to the needs of the whole family.
