SUMMARY:Harm Reduction Training
DESCRIPTION:Harm reduction training provides practical\, evidence based str
 ategies to reduce the risks associated with drug and alcohol use. This har
 m reduction training course focuses on improving safety\, preventing overd
 ose and reducing the wider health harms linked to substance use.\n\nThe co
 urse explores the core principles of harm reduction\, including dignity\, 
 respect and non judgemental support. Participants will gain a clear unders
 tanding of safer drug and alcohol use advice\, overdose awareness and resp
 onse\, naloxone administration\, and blood borne virus prevention. Harm re
 duction training also covers recognising risk factors such as poly drug us
 e\, reduced tolerance and environmental risks.\n\nIn addition to physical 
 health risks\, this harm reduction training session explores the social an
 d psychological impacts of substance use. Participants will learn how stig
 ma and discrimination affect engagement with services and how adopting a h
 arm reduction approach improves trust and outcomes.\n\nThe training includ
