Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards

This session is for Wirral Ways staff who want to strengthen their understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. We will cover the principles of the Act, how to assess capacity, what to consider when making best-interest decisions and how the DoLS process works in practice.
By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident applying the legislation in day-to-day work and supporting people in a safe, lawful and person-centred way.
