By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Explain how the brain’s reward system works
  • Describe how different substances affect brain chemistry
  • Understand why addiction is a complex health condition
  • Use this knowledge to challenge stigma and inform your practice

This session is suitable for anyone working with or supporting people affected by substance use, including health and social care professionals, volunteers, and third sector workers.
