Homelessness support on the Wirral

At Wirral Ways, we know that being without a safe place to call home can be overwhelming. We’re here to offer practical help, a listening ear, and connections to services that can make a difference.

We work closely with the Rough Sleeping Initiative (RSI) team and other local partners to make sure people get the right support, whether that’s emergency help for tonight or a longer-term plan for housing and stability.

Here’s what you can find through us:

  • Essentials for rough sleeping – we keep rucksacks filled with toiletries, warm items, and other basics for people who are street homeless.

  • Phones and SIM cards – we have a limited supply for those without a way to stay connected.

  • Phone charging stations – available in all of our hubs.

  • Free hot drinks – available every day in our hubs, with a warm welcome.

  • Emergency food parcels – to help when money or access to food is tight.

  • The Carryout at Nightingales – free hot meals every Tuesday and Thursday, 5–7pm.

  • Street outreach – our team goes out to meet people where they are, making support more accessible.

  • Housing team – dedicated workers who can help with applications, advice, and pathways into stable accommodation.

Alongside this, we can connect you with services for health, recovery, and wellbeing. Whatever your situation, you don’t have to face it alone.

If you or someone you know is homeless or at risk of homelessness on the Wirral, please get in touch or drop in to one of our hubs. We’ll do what we can to help today and support you with the next steps.
