Wirral Ways is part of Change Grow Live. Change Grow Live is a registered charity in England and Wales (1079327) and in Scotland (SC039861). Company Registration Number 3861209 (England and Wales). Throughout the policies and notices on our website you will see us refer to both Wirral Ways and Change Grow Live. Wirral Ways is the name of the local Change Grow Live Service.
We want everyone to be able to use our website. That means you should be able to:

How we’re improving accessibility

Non accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Insufficient colour contrast in some elements.
- Our form fields need to have a descriptive label, so users know what they need to enter.
- Some of the elements of our website have empty buttons, which means there is no descriptive text to indicate the function of the button.
- Some pages have markup errors and parsing errors that may impact on assistive technologies and may cause screen readers to miss content.
We will continue to add to this list if we find more problems during testing.
Disproportionate burden
- The PDF documents on our website do not meet accessibility standards, because they are not fully accessible to a screen reader.
This problem means we don’t meet requirement 2.1.1. We currently don’t have the resource required to re-create all our documents in an accessible format. All PDF content (such as downloadable leaflets and fact sheets) are also available as a resource page which means that our accessibility tool, Recite Me, can be used with them.

How we test our website
- We use our website with Narrator, a screen-reading app that’s built into Windows 10 computers, to find any features that don’t work with screen reading software.
- We use Hemingway, an online app that helps you make sure your content is simple and easy to understand. We aim for every page to have a reading age of 10-11 years old.
- We will continue to hold user testing and content testing sessions with people who use or have used our services.
Complaints
If you make a complaint and give your contact details, we will contact you to confirm we have received it within 5 working days. We will give you a full response to your complaint within 28 days.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations for organisations like Change Grow Live. If you’re not happy with how we respond to a complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
