Get tested with Wirral Ways
Regular testing is one of the simplest ways to look after your health. It can give you peace of mind, help you spot issues early and keep you and the people you care about safe.
We offer quick and confidential testing for a range of blood-borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections. Most tests take just a few minutes and you’ll get clear information on what happens next and where to get support if you need it.
We work in partnership with Sahir to offer free, confidential HIV testing and sexual health support across Wirral.
Through this partnership, people can access free rapid HIV testing, alongside clear information, advice, and signposting to further support if needed. All services are delivered by trained professionals and are friendly, discreet, and judgement free.
What we can help with
• HIV testing
• Hepatitis B testing
• Hepatitis C testing
• Sexual health testing signposting including chlamydia and gonorrhoea
• Vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B for people who are eligible

Why testing matters
Lots of infections do not have obvious symptoms. Testing means you can:
• Know your status
• Start treatment early if needed
• Protect partners, family and friends
• Feel more in control of your health
If you use drugs, share equipment or have had unprotected sex, testing can help keep you safer. It is always better to know.
How it works
You can drop-in to one of our sites or speak to a member of our team to arrange a test that suits you. Appointments are quick, confidential and free.
We can also help you find convenient testing options through our partners if you prefer to test at home or in a different setting.
We are here to help
Whether you’re taking a first step or checking in regularly, we will support you with:
• Friendly advice and information
• Onward referrals to treatment and care
• Support around harm reduction and safer choices
• Follow-up appointments if needed
We know that talking about testing can feel daunting. You will always be treated with kindness and respect.
