Involving the people who use our services

Your voice matters at Wirral Ways

The people we help and support are at the heart of everything we do – and it’s important you have a say in how we work.

Why we involve people who use our services

At Wirral Ways, we believe the best people to help shape our services are the people who use them.
Your insights, experiences, and ideas help us understand what’s working, what could be better, and how we can continue to improve.

By involving you, we can:

  • Make sure our services meet real needs

  • Build better relationships between staff, volunteers and people who use our services

  • Stay accountable to the people who matter most – you

How we do it

We have a dedicated service user involvement team. It’s made up of service user representatives who bring the voices of people who use our services into local, regional, and national conversations.

Reps take part in management and governance meetings to make sure the views of service users are heard loud and clear.

They’re supported by service user leads and coordinators, who help make sure your feedback is shared with the right people, and that it leads to real change.

Many of our reps tell us they find the role empowering, rewarding, and a big part of their own recovery journey.

Ways you can get involved

Share your feedback

Whether it’s a suggestion, a concern, or just an idea for something new, we want to hear from you.

You can share your feedback directly with a service user representative, your worker, or the Service Manager.

Join the Service User Forum

Our regular Service User Forum is a safe, supportive space where you can share your thoughts, raise issues, and hear about upcoming changes and projects. It’s your chance to help shape what happens next at Wirral Ways.

Be part of the Lived Experience Network

The Lived Experience Network (LEN) connects people with lived experience across the Wirral. It’s a brilliant way to get involved at a bigger level – sharing your ideas, supporting campaigns, and making your voice heard further. The LEN sits outside Wirral Ways and is facilitated by Wirral Mind.

Have your say – help us make a difference

If you’re using one of our services, we’d love you to get involved.
Having your say means:

  • Helping us try out new ideas

  • Staying informed about what’s happening

  • Making sure no one’s voice is left behind

Speak to your service user reps or your local Service User Involvement Lead to find out more about how you can get involved.
We’re listening – and your voice can make a real difference.
