Volunteers are an essential part of what we do, and this session helps staff feel confident in supporting them well. We will look at how to create a positive experience for volunteers, how to set clear expectations, and how to offer guidance while building trust. The training also covers support plans, communication tips, and what to do if concerns arise. By the end of the session, staff will feel better equipped to supervise and support volunteers and help them thrive in their roles.
We will also explore the onboarding process, how to deliver effective supervisions, and what steps to take when things go wrong. This training is for anyone who supervises volunteers in their role as an SSV. If you support volunteers as part of your day to day work, this session is designed for you.
